Each apartment has its own small kitchen. Since the house is well known amongst its visitors as the ideal place for "catching up with lost sleep", we have decided to leave our guests free to have breakfast as and when they see fit.
Here time flows at its own pace: unless Fernando, the neighbour, wakes you up with his tractor, no other noise will disturb your peace except for those of the household.
Breakfast, then, is up to you. In your apartment you will find coffee and tea (Twinings, Earl Grey and English breakfast), sugar, local honey (the real thing), our own olive oil, crackers, biscuits, local wine from our friends in the Val d'Orcia and mineral water, although tap water is perfectly drinkable.
Every morning at around 8.30 a basket of cakes, bread, croissants (sweet or savoury, according to your taste) from the local village will be left outside your door. There is a list in your room where you can choose from a selection of delicacies available in the local "pasticceria" - just fill out the form the night before and leave it in the designated postbox.
If you would like yoghurt, cheese, eggs or anything else, let us know by e-mail 24 hours before arrival and we'll take care of it. We will also provide your choice of newspaper from the main Italian dailies.
The various family members have their own duties and timetable, but we all meet at 10:30 for mid-morning coffee: feel free to join us for a cup and a chat around the table if you like.
Don't forget to look at the view from your windows in the morning: it is the best time of day!
